Extremadura is situated in the southwest Spain, in the border with Portugal. It forms a tableland, divided by the mountain range of Guadalupe. The region is divided into two provinces, Caceres and Badajoz. The south part of the region is more fertile and corresponds to a great extend to the province of Badajoz. It offers great conditions for the cultivation of the vines. The numerous reservoirs that lay in this land apart from generating electricity, they also provoke a contrast to the dry landscape.
" All the vineyards are cultivated farming practices aimed at obtaining the highest quality grapes, as well as respect for the environment "
The sub-area Tierra de Barros (Land of Clay), situated in the province of Badajoz, where we have our vineyards planted, is a practically flat area, with fertile land rich in nutrition and a noticeable capacity of water retention. The medium altitude is 521meters over the sea level.
The climate is dry with high temperatures during the summer that are even higher due to the sunny winds. The rainfall is between 350mm. and 450mm. per annum.
Actually, we count with 1500ha. of own vineyards that belong to the DENOMINATION OF ORIGIN RIBERA DEL GUADIANA. All our vineyards are cultivated to obtain the maximum quality of the grapes always respecting the environment.
